There is Gold in Every Piece of Your Story.

MEET THE FOUNDER

A glimpse behind the gold — the story that started it all.

A Letter From Sol, Founder of The Solshine Jewelry Co.

I’ve always been a creator at heart.

Making things with my hands — from floral design to event styling — has always been how I make sense of the world around me.

But Solshine didn’t begin as a business plan.

It began as a dream.

After Hurricane Maria, I had to walk away from my first business in weddings and florals. Life shifted overnight. I later worked in the wedding industry again until COVID hit, and once more, everything I built paused. Eventually, I found myself in a corporate job, steady on paper but hard on my soul.

As a military spouse, the constant moving made “stability” feel temporary, and somewhere between the long hours and the frequent goodbyes, I realized I wasn’t creating anymore. I was surviving.

When we moved to Hawai‘i, something in me woke up. I felt grounded, comfortable in my own skin, ready to start again... but this time with purpose.

I remember one December evening in 2021, scrolling through jewelry sites, looking for something I could afford but that still felt meaningful. I couldn’t find it, and honestly, that’s when it clicked. I thought, what if I make it?

What if I could design and source high-quality, lasting pieces that carried stories — reminders that beauty and strength can coexist — and use my own story to bless others?

That’s how Solshine began.

Building this brand has stretched and shaped me in ways I never imagined. I started Solshine months after losing my dad and while navigating infertility treatments. I doubted myself constantly, but I also learned that owning your story — the grief, the detours, the resilience — is where real power begins.

Solshine taught me that acceptance is strength, and that becoming isn’t about having it all together; it’s about moving forward anyway.

As a woman, a founder, and a military spouse, I’ve learned that humility, adaptability, and integrity are my anchors. Empathy is my language. And empowerment... that’s my mission.

Because women are never just one thing.
We can be calm and the storm, soft and fire, grounded and wild.

Beyond Solshine, I’m loyal, a little funny (in my opinion anyways), a total La Croix girl, and absolutely obsessed with my husband of 16 years. I’m vegan, love animals (one day I will have a pet chicken), and I geek out on holistic nutrition and self-growth books. I binge crime shows, the Kardashians, and 90 Day Fiancé, and I believe laughter is therapy.

I’m a straight shooter with a soft heart — direct but compassionate, driven but deeply human.

More than anything, I want women to look at my work and feel seen.

To know they can make it — out of anxiety, through infertility, beyond loss — and into a life that feels like their own.

I want every woman who wears Solshine to remember that your circumstances don’t define you. What you carry inside does.

So if you take one thing from my story, let it be this:

There is gold in every piece of your story.

xx,

Sol
